How do we offer seamless FD investments in-app while integrating an external bank-provided experience?
Pluto was expanding its investment offerings and wanted to include Fixed Deposits, a familiar, trust-driven option for traditional Indian investors.
Unlike gold or P2P, FD bookings often require integration with regulated banking partners, fixed UI structures, and mandated flows.
UX Benchmarking
Studied FD flows from top players (Groww, Jar, ETMoney)
Identified legal constraints vs UX flexibility in post-RBI flows
